Gelişmekte olan yetenekler için önemli bir yer olan La Semaine de la Critique (Eleştirmenler Haftası), yeni yazarların ikinci ve uzun metraj filmlerini, Cannes Film Festivali’nde öne çıkan kısa filmlerde olduğu gibi izleyiciyle buluşturuyor. 55.si düzenlenecek olan La Semaine de la Critique’de yarışmaya katılacak 10 kısa filmin yanı sıra, aralarında Leice Cine Discovery ödülü sahibi filmlerin de bulunduğu kısa filmler seçkisi yer alacak.
Özel 50+5 bölümünde, La Semaine de la Critique tarafından keşfedilen, yönetmen Cesar Augusto Acevedo (Land and Shade, Camera d’or 2015) ile Nadav Lapid (The Kindergarten Teacher) son filmlerini sunacaklar.
55.Semaine de la Critique’nin kapanışında ise, Laetitia Casta, Sandrine Kiberlain ve Chloe Sevigny’nin her birinin farklı görüşlerini izleyeceğimiz üç kısa filmi gösterilecek.

The Short Films Selected at La Semaine de la Critique Are Available Worldwide and Exclusively on Festival Scope
A hub for emerging talents, La Semaine de la Critique reveals new authors through a selection of first and second feature films, as well as short films, which are given a privileged exposure during the Cannes Film Festival. Besides the 10 short films in competition, among which the winner of the Leica Cine Discovery Prize, La Semaine brings the short format into the spotlight for its 55thedition.
In a special 50+5 screening, directors César Augusto Acevedo (Land and Shade, Caméra d’or 2015) and Nadav Lapid (The Kindergarten Teacher), both discovered by La Semaine de la Critique with their feature films, will present their latest short films.
For the closing of the 55th Semaine de la Critique, three first short films by Laetitia Casta, Sandrine Kiberlain and Chloë Sévigny will be shown, each giving a different vision of the artist’s condition.
For the first time, La Semaine de la Critique offers to the general public the chance of discovering in premiere an exceptional selection of short films just after their screening in Cannes. The audiences worldwide can watch the short films the day after the Award Ceremony. The access to the French or English subtitled films is free of charge on Festival Scope, the new platform destined to cinephile festivalgoers all around the world Conceived as an extra screening to those scheduled in Cannes, this offer (limited to 200 “seats” per film) is open to the first people to log on to Festival Scope for a week, between the 20th and the 27th of May.
